The last official day of summer is the first official day of marching competitions in Michigan. While many bands have already premiered their shows at football games and non-scored marching events, this will be the first weekend that we learn just exactly how strong everybody is starting the 2013 competitive season (and, if the videos I’ve seen are any indication, this will be a good year!).



Beginning at 2:00 PM, Trenton is playing host to 16 bands. The Boyd Arthur Middle School band will perform the national anthem. Below is a quick recap of Start Times and Awards Ceremonies:

Rockford starts at 3:10 PM with a performance of the National Anthem by the Rockford HS Band Seniors. 19 Bands will be in attendance.

The Novi Fanfare kicks off at 4:35 PM, with 14 bands in competition.
