October 31, 2015: the year’s more frightening night. For most, it’s goblins and ghouls, and tricks or treats. For us marching band fanatics, it’s the last weekend of regular competition – the weekend that determines State Qualifiers. (cue dramatic music!)
MCBA admissions costs are $8 for Adults and $6 for Students and Seniors.
Livonia Franklin
Only 11 bands are in attendance at Livonia Franklin. We have our first Open Class band of the season, as Garden City performs first at 4:15 PM. Competition begins with Flight IV at 4:30PM. Flights III, I, and II follow. Franklin’s exhibition is at 7:45; Awards for all flights will be at 8:15. Franklin is located at 31000 Joy Road, Livonia, MI 48150. Click here for more information.
Huron Valley Invitational
Competition begins at 2:00 PM in White Lake at Lakeland High School (1630 Bogie Lake Rd., White Lake, MI 48383). 22 bands are in attendance. The order is: Flight IV, Flight III, and Flight II. Highland Milford performs in Flight II exhibition at 5:30; Awards for Flights IV, III, and II follow after, at 6:00.
Flight I begins at 7:00 PM. Lakeland performs in Flight I exhibition at 8:45. Flight I awards will be at 9:15 PM. Click here for more information.
West Shore Invitational
Reeths-Puffer hosts their competition at Rockford High School (4100 Kroes St NE, Rockford, MI 49341). The largest contest this weekend, 24 bands will be in performance. Competition starts with Flight IV at 2:30 PM. Flight IV awards will be at 5:30 PM.
Flight III starts at 6:15, and is followed by Flights I and II. Reeths-Puffer performs in Flight II exhibition at 9:15 PM, and Awards for Flights III, I, and II will be at 9:45. Click here for more information.
