Saturday, October 6 is arguably the busiest weekend for the Marching Arts in Michigan. Five Scholastic Competitions will be being held, in addition to two MCBA shows and a BOA Regional.
The MCBA Competitions for October 6 are being hosted by Livonia Franklin and Troy Athens.
Livonia Franklin
At the time of this publication, we unfortunately do not have a detailed schedule for Livonia Franklin. We can tell you that the tentative start time was 3:00 PM. Tickets should cost $7 for Adults and $5 for Students/Seniors. If you can provide more information regarding this competition, please contact us.
Bands scheduled to appear include:
- Watervliet (Flight IV)
- Thurston (Flight III)
- Woodhaven (Flight II)
- Milford (Flight II)
- Livonia Franklin (Flight I)
Livonia Franklin is located at 31000 Joy Road in Livonia.

Troy Athens
11 Bands will be performing at Troy Athens’ competition this weekend in Troy. The High School is located at 4333 John R. Road.
The event opens at 5:30 PM. Competition officially begins with Flight IV at 5:45. Atherton and Parchment will perform in Flight IV. Mt. Pleasant takes the field in Flight III competition at 6:15, and will be followed by Marysville and Lamphere. South Lyon performs in Flight II at 7:00, and will be followed by a break.
Flight I begins with Carman-Ainsworth at 7:30 PM. Novi wraps up competition at 8:15. Troy Athens takes the field to perform “Siren Song” in Flight I exhibition at 8:30. Awards will be at 9:00 PM.
Tickets will cost $7 for Adults and $5 for Students and Seniors.
